New Austin Landing restaurant teams up with Dayton Children’s
Posted Friday, April 24, 2015

Chuy’s, the Tex-Mex restaurant chain that will open its first Dayton-area location at Austin Landing in mid-April, today kicked off a charity partnership with Dayton Children’s hospital.

The initial promotion in the long-term partnership involves Facebook: for every new “like” on the Chuy’s Dayton Facebook page between today, Feb. 25 and Friday, Feb. 27, Chuy’s will donate $1 to Dayton Children’s, the Austin-based restaurant chain said in a release this morning.

Chuy’s also will host pre-opening events at the restaurant that will benefit Dayton Children’s, a Chuy’s spokeswoman said.

Chuy’s is putting the finishing touches on a 7,460 square foot restaurant with a 2,150 square foot patio at 10445 Innovation Drive at Austin Landing Boulevard, near the entrance to the multi-use development in Miami Twp.

The restaurant chain also has filed plans with the city of Beavercreek to open a second Dayton-area location in newly created restaurant space adjacent to the Mall at Fairfield Commons.

Chuy’s operates a restaurant in Madeira near Cincinnati and is looking to expand across other regions in Ohio beyond Dayton and Cincinnati, a Chuy’s spokeswoman said.
