Why you need to attend Austin Landing’s Pumpkin Party

The leaves are changing. The mornings are cooler. Fall is in the air, and nothing says “fall” more than...pumpkins! On Wednesday, Oct. 24, starting at 3 p.m, you and your family are invited to the Park at Austin Landing to enjoy the annual Pumpkin Party, courtesy of Kettering Physician Network.

The crew of internationally recognized carvers will be back to create amazing pumpkin masterpieces, including live carving of giant pumpkins. You’ll also be able to admire more than 50 individually carved pumpkins scattered around the park.

As if that wasn’t enough, free hay rides around Austin Landing will begin at 5 p.m., followed by movie trivia at 6:30 p.m. And get your most awesome Halloween costume ready so you can compete in the costume contest that starts at 7 p.m. Finally, the evening will be capped by the Kettering Physician Network Movie Night, featuring the movie “Coco,” at 7:40 p.m.  

There also will be free face painting, glitter tattoos, bounce houses, and a harvest-themed photo booth. You can enjoy the giant games and chalk art in the park, and our friends from Cinépolis will handing out free samples of their yummy popcorn. The kind folks from Kettering Physician Network will be on hand with health information, games, giveaways, and more.

Most importantly — be sure you claim your FREE pumpkin from the official Austin Landing pumpkin patch. Supplies are limited, so get there early and don’t miss out. (One pumpkin per family, please.) In the event of inclement weather, plan to come out on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 3 p.m., instead.

Grab your favorite latte (it’s going to be pumpkin spice, right?), bundle up, and head out to the Park at Austin Landing for this free eventthat will be fun for everyone.
