Manufacturer moving headquarters to Austin Landing
Posted Wednesday, November 15, 2017

One of Dayton's largest companies is moving to a new home.

Midmark Corp., a provider of medical, dental and veterinary healthcare equipment, will move its headquarters to Austin Landing by Oct. 1, 2018.

The corporation will bring 20 to 25 positions from its current facility in Dayton, including members of its C-suite, finance and clinical affairs departments. It will also consolidate its West Chester office to the Austin Landing site.

The new headquarters will be located at the corner of Penny Lane and Rigby Road. Midmark will occupy a 12,00 square-foot space on the third floor of an office that will be constructed next year.

The move further enhances Austin Landing as a hub for many of the region's largest companies such as Teradata Corp., Sogeti and Thompson Hine. It also may create work for area builders, contractors and suppliers.

“Our decision to locate our headquarters within the Dayton region continues to be a positive one," said Bob Morris, chief financial officer for Midmark. "The area is rich in talent and innovation, and the impact is visible throughout Midmark.

“The City of Dayton and the University of Dayton have been incredible hosts over the past five years and we thank them for their support. We look forward to our continued partnership as we maintain our presence in the area.”

Larry Dillin, president of VisCap Development, which manages Austin Landing, added it is "delighted to add the Midmark corporate leadership team to our growing list of great tenants at Austin Landing."

"The property continues to be recognized as an important hub of business activity in the Dayton-Cincinnati metro market," Dillin said. "The new building structure will be a significant complement in the heart of the development."

Midmark's Versailles campus will remain as the company's largest site, housing manufacturing, associated support functions and the customer experience department.

Midmark will also continue with plans to break ground in Versailles for its new technology center in 2018, which is expected to bring 97 new jobs to the region.
