Upscale cinema to open at Austin Landing

Austin Landing is adding an entertainment option to its retail line-up.

Cinépolis USA has signed a deal with RG Properties, developer of the 142-acre mixed-use development in Miami Township, to open a 12-screen, upscale cinema in fall 2016.

The 52,750-square-foot cinema will feature a sophisticated decor, lounge-style lobby, comfortable seats, and gourmet snacks and a full bar. It will be the first Cinépolis in Ohio, expanding the international cinema company's US reach to 11 different theaters.

The cinema will employ between 75 and 100 full- and part-time employees. The construction will be one of the larger projects at the development next year, and will take up one of the last remaining available spaces at Austin Landing. The cinema will be built in between the parking garage and the Field & Stream buildings.
