Opening day today for new Austin Landing restaurant

MIAMI TWP. — Tex-Mex restaurant Chuy’s opened its first Dayton-area location at Austin Landing at 11 a.m. today, April 21.

The 7,460 square foot restaurant with a 2,150 square foot patio is located at 10445 Innovation Drive at Austin Landing Boulevard, near the Field & Stream outdoor store. The restaurant, which seats 395, opened with 178 employees.

The restaurant chain also has filed plans with the city of Beavercreek to open a second Dayton-area location in newly created restaurant space adjacent to the Mall at Fairfield Commons.

Austin, Texas-based Chuy’s, founded in 1982, operates a restaurant in Madeira near Cincinnati and is looking to expand across other regions in Ohio beyond Dayton and Cincinnati, according to a Chuy’s spokeswoman.
